Included in this collection are 30 games written for the Big Bad Jam,  inspired by fables, folk tales and fairy tales. They include games about dragons, Greek mythology, magical forests, changelings, one ferocious goose and more!

You can purchase all 30 games in this anthology edition, or you can visit each project page and buy them individually from the creators. If you purchased each of these games individually, you'd spend at least $53. Proceeds from the anthology edition will go towards the Big Bad Con Scholarship Fund.

Help us bring awesome humans to Big Bad Con!

Big Bad Con is committed to cultivating a spectacular and diverse gaming community. Our Scholarship Fund goes towards travel, hotel, and badge fees for attendees from marginalized groups who need assistance. In 2018 we were able to offer 13 scholarships up from 11 in 2017, up from 7 in 2016, and 4 in 2015.

To support diversity at Big Bad Con, these funds will go to help financially challenged women, people of color, disabled, and lgbtqia+ individuals attend the con. We will use it to cover hotel rooms ($135+/night), convention badges ($60), and other necessary fees. Depending on the number of applicants, we may be able cover full or partial costs.

Want to come to the con, but need help? Scholarship applications are open until 8/15/2019. Scholarship fund distributions will be based on our best effort to bring as many individuals as we can afford to the con. Awards will be announced privately to the recipients in September.

A Big Bad Convention

Big Bad Con is a yearly gaming convention held in October in Walnut Creek, CA. We run tabletop, live action, board and card games, along with social events, panels and workshops. We’re a volunteer-run non-profit origination comprised of wonderful volunteers, staff, GMs, and players.
